National Day Holiday Notice National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year. The celebration commemorates the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The National Flag-raising ceremony is held at Tian’anmen Square. The five-starred red flag is waving in the wind. During the holiday, our leaders will present flowers to the Monument to the People's Heroes. Security is quite tight on National Day. The Chinese people have 7-day off from work. Many people will go to attraction sites in this golden week. All cities and scenic spots are packed. Autumn Equinox On the Chinese lunar calendar, “Autumn Equinox” is the beginning of Autumn and this day is just at the middle point between “Autumn Begins” to “Hoar-Frost Falls”. It arrives on September 23 this year when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 180 degrees. Since the Autumn Equinox, most of the areas in China have entered the cool autumn. When the cold air southward meets the declining warm and wet air, precipitation is the result. The temperature also drops frequently. Notice of Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday Please kindly be informed that our company JADEVER has three days off for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from September 10th to 12th according to the national holiday regulations. Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. It is a time for family members and loved ones to congregate and enjoy the full moon and mooncakes——an auspicious symbol of abundance, harmony and luck. For people in Xiamen, their exciting games have just started. A special custom “Moon-cake Gambling" will take place in every Mid-autumn Festival. Gambling? Right, but it is definitely legal. Because the stakes among the locals are mooncakes and that is how this unique celebrating activity has got its Chinese name “Bo Bing”. It is played only around the Mid-Autumn Festival. All the "Bo Bing" game requires are six dices and a bowl. Just throw the dice into the bowl and roll a different number of points. The End of Heat   The End of Heat is the fourteenth of the twenty-four traditional Chinese solar terms. “处”means that most of China is moving out of the summer heat and into the cooler autumn. Two reasons behind this phenomenon. First of all, that the direct point of the sun continues to move southward and solar radiation weakens. Secondly, the subtropical high pressure retreats southward by leaps and bounds and cold high pressure begins to appear. Around the end of heat, there are often celebrating activities in the folk to welcome the autumn. Nowadays, people often take a trip in the mountains to enjoy the beautiful autumn views.
